Job Opportunities
Shop Maintenance/Forklift Operator
We are looking for freight and material movers who can manually move freight, stock, or other materials and perform other general labor tasks. Freight, stock, or other materials will also need to be moved to and from the storage yard or production areas, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using a 4-wheel sit-down propane forklift.
Other tasks include:
- Attach identifying tags, or work orders, to containers or mark them with identifying information after unloading and staging.
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs from coordinators.
- Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
- Janitorial maintenance such as cleaning restrooms and disposing of garbage and general maintenance of the warehouse.
- Opportunity for advancement in the field as a sign installer.
- Bilingual (Preferred): English and Spanish
Painter
The applicant will know how to paint large industrial signage for commercial businesses using sprayers and brushes for the purpose of meeting customer requirements. Sands and cleans material to be painted using the required solutions. Repair surfaces to be painted using appropriate materials. The ideal candidate will have to be comfortable working in a fast-paced and high energy environment and have knowledge of painting materials and techniques.
Other tasks include:
- Clean and prepare surfaces. (Masking, grit blasting or chemical prep)
- Prepare paints. A high degree of accuracy is required. Use of viscosity cups, thickness gauges, and gloss gauges to test the makeup of paint and an understanding of the chemistry mix of compounds is required.
- Clean work area. Knowledgeable in the safe handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals and waste.
- Responsible for maintaining paint equipment and troubleshooting.
- Experience in industrial equipment paint prepping. Sign industry experience preferred.
- Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment
- Sign installation, gas station canopies, and ADA striping knowledge
- C33 License not required
- Bilingual (Preferred): English and Spanish
